How it works

Air in. Water out.

Spout is like having your own private spring on your countertop. It pulls moisture from the air around you, cleans and mineralizes it, and fills a pitcher with clean, alkaline water, up to 2.5 gallons a day. No pipes, no bottles, no delivery.

CERAMIC DESICCANT
Stage 01 · Capture
A ceramic sponge for water, not a cold coil.
Incoming air passes MERV-13 filter media and a MERV-7 carbon pre-filter first, so nothing airborne rides along. Then a ceramic desiccant wheel absorbs the moisture the air carries, a molecular sponge rather than the direct-coil condensation a dehumidifier relies on. It's how Spout keeps working even when the air is dry.
Hospital-grade MERV-13 filter media*
Spout's air intake combines high-efficiency media used in MERV-13 filters with a MERV-7 activated-carbon pre-filter.
*MERV-13 describes the primary filter media, a filtration level specified for many healthcare ventilation systems. Complete-machine filtration performance tested at MERV-11.
Stage 02 · Condense
The vapor becomes water.
The desiccant releases its captured moisture into a cool chamber, where it condenses into liquid water and collects, drop by drop. This is raw harvested water, clean of the contaminants that plague pipes and bottles, but not yet ready to drink. That's what the next stages are for.
Water harvested from air never touches old pipes, delivery trucks, or plastic. You can't filter out what was never there.

Stage 03 · Purify
Six stages between air and glass.
From the air intake to your glass, six stages stand between the room and the water: two air-filter stages, UV-C, a NASA-derived block, remineralization, and a final carbon polish.

SPRING-LIKE MINERALS
Stage 04 · Taste
Because stripped water tastes like nothing.
Stripped water alone tastes flat. Spout adds back calcium, magnesium, and potassium, the same minerals a mountain spring picks up from rock, bringing the water to a smooth, alkaline ~9.0 pH. No chlorine, no plastic aftertaste. In our owner survey, 93% rated the taste good or excellent.
