How spout works
Our hospital-grade air filter purifies the air going into the machine before it is collected on a rotating desiccant wheel. This helps us ensure a higher quality of water, and also purifies the air in your home.
Water is absorbed by our desiccant wheel and then heated to release the water vapor into our condensation chamber.
Water is condensed by a condenser that is cooled by the ambient, filtered air in your home.
Once the water has been condensed, we filter it by harnessing the power of electropositive capture. Cutting-edge filtration technology—inspired by NASA innovations— delivers remarkably effective adsorption across a wide range of particle sizes. We then remineralize the water by adding minerals to increase the alkalinity to ~9 pH and to make it taste even more delightful.
Finally, the water fills the Spout pitcher, which has a UV light in the lid, to ensure nothing can grow in the water after it's made. We don't use any chemicals to control growth, ensuring the purest water possible with tried-and-true UV technology. The pitcher is charged when it's inside the machine to keep the water continuously sterilized when the pitcher is outside the unit, perhaps while it's chilling inside your refrigerator.
