The short version
Three moves, start to pour.
01
Pulls moisture from the air
MERV-13 filter media cleans the incoming air, then a ceramic desiccant wheel captures the water vapor it carries.
02
Filters and mineralizes
Six stages of water filtration, then calcium, magnesium, and potassium added back for taste and ~9.0 pH balance.
03
Fills the pitcher, fresh daily
Up to 2.5 gallons a day*. UV in the lid keeps it fresh between pours.
Stage 01 · Capture
A ceramic sponge for water, not a cold coil.
Incoming air passes MERV-13 filter media and a MERV-7 carbon pre-filter first, so nothing airborne rides along. Then a ceramic desiccant wheel absorbs the moisture the air carries, a molecular sponge rather than the direct-coil condensation a dehumidifier relies on. It's how Spout keeps working even when the air is dry.
Hospital-grade MERV-13 filter media*
Spout's air intake combines high-efficiency media used in MERV-13 filters with a MERV-7 activated-carbon pre-filter.
*MERV-13 describes the primary filter media, a filtration level specified for many healthcare ventilation systems. Complete-machine filtration performance tested at MERV-11.
Stage 04 · Taste
Because stripped water tastes like nothing.
Stripped water alone tastes flat. Spout adds back calcium, magnesium, and potassium, the same minerals a mountain spring picks up from rock, bringing the water to a smooth, alkaline ~9.0 pH. No chlorine, no plastic aftertaste. In our owner survey, 93% rated the taste good or excellent.

Five differences
Similar in concept. Different in every way that matters.
01
MERV-13 filter media keeps contaminants out of the machine.
02
A ceramic desiccant wheel absorbs water instead of direct-coil condensation.
03
Six-stage water filtration, including electropositive capture.
04
Remineralization for taste: calcium, magnesium, potassium.
05
UV in the pitcher lid keeps water fresh between pours.
The next wave of water abundance. Clean drinking water pulled straight from the air, no plumbing, no bottles, no delivery.
